Our dogsledding adventures are located 90 minutes west of Jasper in beautiful Valemount, British Columbia. Travel time to the Dogsled staging area is approximately 90 minutes from Jasper. Transportation is provide on the "Moonshiners of Whiskey Creek' dogsled adventure only. If you are participating on the self-drive "60 Minute Musher" program, please be prepared for winter mountain driving conditions and a time change to Pacific Standard Time (one hour behind Jasper). In either case, upon arrival at the Dogsled Adventure Staging Area you will receive a short lesson on the operation of a dogsled team and then have the choice to drive your own team of 6 to 8 dogs, or you can to snuggle up in a blanket and let someone else to do the driving.
Moonshiners of Whiskey Creek
Travel by dog team through the silent undisturbed beauty of winter and all it has to offer. This is a great hands on opportunity to venture deep into the heart of the Canadian Rockies. Enjoy the crisp mountain air and the beautiful scenery that surrounds you while you warm up with a hearty trail side lunch, cooked over an open campfire, hot apple cider and homemade treats. During this time you will have the opportunity to learn the history of both the area and the people. (vegetarian lunch available upon request)

Moonshiners Dogsledding Self-Drive Options- For those who insist on driving to the Dogsledding Staging area to participate in this tour. You have the following options:
(Weekends and Holidays Only): 1:00 p.m. (pacific standard time) departure on Weekends and Holidays only. Drive time from Jasper: 1.5 hours.

The 60 Minute Musher:
This tour is great for those groups that are large or families with small children that want a quick taste of dogsledding. Trip includes your introduction to the dogs, the equipment, your instruction on how to drive a dog team, and 1 full hour of mushing! It concludes with a hot beverage and homemade treats back at the trail head. Transportation not included. Driving time approximately 1.5 each way.

The 60 minute musher is ideal for school groups, clubs, corporate incentive parties etc. We are able to run tours back to back and add other options such as interpretive snowshoe hikes and a campfire lunch. Important Notes:
*2% Destination Management Fee is a fee collected by our Tourism Jasper Destination Management organization to promote our area.
*All participants must read and sign a liability waiver prior to going dogsledding.
*Anyone under the age of 19 must be accompanied by a legal guardian.
*Participants must be dressed in proper winter attire and boots.
*Please eat a big breakfast before dogsledding as our bodies require calories to stay warm!
*Transportation-pick ups and tours depart on time!
*Tours will not be held back if guests are not at departure location on time.
*Participants that miss their pick up time or tour will NOT be refunded.
**Cancelation policy-Guaranteed reservations may be cancelled before 6pm, 48 hours prior to your scheduled tour. However we will retain a handling fee of $50/reservation. Failure of the card holder to cancel their reservation prior to this time will result in NO refund of the FULL amount of their purchase. Should a client not be able to attend due to illness, only they will be excused. All others will be expected at their scheduled tour.
