Keeping in mind that Jasper National Park is located in the Canadian Rockies, our summer season is "nature" controlled. Access to areas is restricted by opening dates and closures due to weather and various Park restrictions beyond our control. Our summer season early tours begin in late April and are generally fully operational by mid June. The closures begin towards the end of September, but we continue on until the snow flies and we start the winter programs. There is always something to do in Jasper.

Start your day with the tranquility of Pyramid Lake and the reflection of Pyramid Mountain in the surrounding water. An osprey sitting on her nest, a bald eagle soaring overhead, beaver swimming along the shoreline leaving a gentle wake that spreads it’s way out to the canoe, and off the right bow, a loon disturbing the silence with it’s haunting call. This is also the best time for animal sightings around the lake. All of this is wrapped up in this one tour. The start of the day doesn’t get much better than this. Add steaming hot coffee, fresh baking and if you request, a “Sunburst” and fresh croissant for breakfast. The morning is complete, and it’s only 9AM. Allow 3 hours.

Best times for The Great Canadian Canoe Experience are early morning (which will include fresh coffee and baking) or the evening. These times vary as the summer season hours lengthen and shorten.
