The Maligne Canyon Icewalk Tour

The Maligne Canyon Icewalk Tour is a great option for anyone who does not ski or snowboard.  Whether you are in Jasper for a day or a week, the icewalk is offered 3 times and day, so you could get a full morning of skiing on the slopes and then participate in an Icewalk in the afternoon or evening.  The Icewalk Tour covers approximately 3.5 kms (2.1 miles) and is mostly downhill.  Participants are required to dress appropriately for the weather.  Transportation is included and pick-ups are available from all Jasper accommodations.  Please indicate your shoe size when booking as warm boots and ice cleats will be provided.

 Winter Wildlife Discovery Tour

You've come to the Canadian Rockies and you want to see some wildlife!  Join our daily Winter Wildlife Discovery Tour where knowledgeable local guides have been trained to seek out all of the park’s most iconic creatures. Big or small, there's always a good chance to see wildlife in Jasper! Elk, deer, sheep, goats, coyotes, wolves, and moose are just a sample of Jasper’s wild mountain fauna. Learn about the ways the indigenous animals contribute to the rich diversity of the National Park and how they survive the mountain winters.  Your Wildlife guide is well versed in the history, geology, and ecology of the area and is happy to answer any questions you may have.   Not just a wildlife discovery tour, you will also discover some of the park’s most beautiful scenery as your guide will take you to some out-of-the-way places you might not have discovered on your own.  Have your camera ready to capture some amazing photos of the highlights of your visit. This tour is a great way to spend your morning and increase your chance of encountering the wildlife of Jasper!

Photos are usually taken from inside the vehicle or on the ground at a safe distance from the animals. Jasper National Park is not a zoo but a wild, protected area. The types of animals seen on the tour depend on the season, the time of day, and the weather.
